Solutrean Industry
This hypothesises similarities between the Solutrean industry and the later Clovis culture / Clovis points of North America, and suggests that people with Solutrean tool technology crossed the Ice Age Atlantic by moving along the pack ice edge, using survival skills similar to that of modern Eskimo people. The migrants arrived in northeastern North America and served as the donor culture for what eventually developed into Clovis tool-making technology. Archaeologists Dennis Stanford and Bruce Bradley suggest that the Clovis point derived from the points of the Solutrean culture of southern France (19,000BP) through the Cactus Hill points of Virginia (16,000BP) to the Clovis point.[1][2] This would mean that people would have had to move from the Bay of Biscay across the edge of the Atlantic ice sheet to North America. Supporters of this hypothesis believe it would have been feasible using traditional Eskimo techniques still in use today,[1] while others argue that the conditions at the time would not have made such a journey likely.[3]
The idea of a Clovis-Solutrean link remains rather controversial and does not enjoy wide acceptance. The hypothesis is challenged by large gaps in time between the Clovis and Solutrean eras, a lack of evidence of Solutrean seafaring, lack of specific Solutrean features in Clovis technology, and other issues.
Arthur J. Jelinek, an anthropologist who noted similarities between Solutrean and Clovis styles in a 1971 study, noted that the great geographical and temporal separation of the two cultures made a direct connection unlikely. He also noted that crossing the Atlantic with the technology of the time would have been difficult if not impossible, an observation repeated by Lawrence G. Straus, who wrote that "there are no representations of boats and no evidence whatsoever either of seafaring or of the ability to make a living mainly or solely from the ocean during the Solutrean."[4] However, Straus excavated Solutrean artifacts along what is now a coastline in Cantabria, which was not coastal at the time of Solutreans, finding seashells and estuarine fish at the sites, but no evidence of exploiting deep sea resources. In addition, the dates of the proposed transitional sites and the Solutrean period in Europe only overlap at the extremes.
Another challenge to the hypothesis involves the apparent lack of cultural or artistic practices being passed on from Solutrean culture to Clovis culture, for instance the style of Solutrean artwork found at Altamira in Spain and Lascaux in France.[5] In response, Bradley and Stanford contend that it was "a very specific subset of the Solutrean who formed the parent group that adapted to a maritime environment and eventually made it across the north Atlantic ice-front to colonize the east coast of the Americas" and that this group may not have shared all Solutrean cultural traits.[6] A carved piece of bone depicting a mammoth found near the Vero man site in Florida has been dated to 13,000 to 20,000 years ago. It is described as possibly being the oldest art object yet found in the Americas, and may provide support for the Solutrean hypothesis.[7] Art historian Barbara Olins has compared the Vero mammoth carving to "Franco-Cantabrian" drawings and engravings of mammoths. She notes that the San of southern Africa developed a realistic style of depicting animals similar to the "Franco-Cantabrian" style, indicating that an independent development of such a style in North America is possible.[8]
In a 2008 study of relevant oceanographic data from the time-period in question, Kieran Westley and Justin Dix concluded that "it is clear from the paleoceanographic and paleo-environmental data that the LGM North Atlantic does not fit the descriptions provided by the proponents of the Solutrean Atlantic Hypothesis. It is however difficult to draw any definitive conclusions from studies undertaken thus-far as the most conclusive evidence on this question would be found in coastal settlements from the time-period, but the overwhelming majority of the coastline from the time-period is now submerged under the Atlantic Ocean[10] and at present inaccessible to intensive archeological research. CISEN incita enfrentamiento Anonymous VS Zetas
En un claro intento por destruir el cyberactivismo mexicano, el gobierno mexicano por medio del CISEN, infiltró al colectivo Anonymous en México para incitarlos a enfrentarse a los Zetas y que este cartel (protegido por México y USA) asesinara activistas y de este modo acabar con el cyberactivismo en redes sociales.

Un elemento de la agencia del gobierno mexicano responsable de tareas de inteligencia, el Centro de Investigación y Seguridad Nacional (Cisen), infiltró al colectivo de hackers denominado Anonymous, de acuerdo con una denuncia del propio grupo publicada en su blog oficial.
“El día de hoy, domingo 6 de noviembre, un presunto agente infiltrado del CISEN ingresó a nuestro chat a tratar de provocar a un administrador para disuadirle en la decisión de suspender la #OpCartel utilizando argumentos típicos de usuarios que postean mensajes inflamatorios (trolls)”, escribió.
Señaló que por motivos de seguridad los nicks de la mencionada persona fueron bloqueados, después de que se descubrió que azuzaba a los activistas para que desistan de la denominada Operación Cártel y difundan información de Los Zetas.
La Operación Cártel fue creada el mes pasado como una amenaza de Anonymous hacia la organización criminal de Los Zetas, luego que un miembro del grupo activista habría sido secuestrado por ese cártel.
La idea era dar a conocer los nombres de funcionarios y demás gente relacionada con el cártel.
Sin embargo, una vez que su activista fue liberado la semana pasada, decidieron suspender el operativo por considerarlo extremadamente peligroso, ya que Los Zetas habrían mandado un mensaje de advertencia de cobrarse con vidas cada nombre que fuera revelado.
La información dada a conocer ahora por Anonymous muestra cómo una persona con el nick ibero_943 incita en el chat del grupo a revelar toda la información.
La presencia de dicho personaje y la manera de redactar levantó sospechas, por lo que al rastrear su dirección IP, pudieron constatar, de acuerdo con Anonymous, que provenía del Cisen.
“Normalmente no nos tomamos la molestia de revisar los logs del chat (es un proceso tedioso y algo complicado), pero la estructura argumentativa de este usuario nos llamó la atención y decidimos realizar un análisis de su dirección IP, primeramente para saber de dónde provenía, por simple curiosidad. Su hostmask y velocidad de ping nos parecieron sospechosos, así que decidimos realizar un rastreo de IP”, establece el texto del blog.
Con esto, establece el grupo, se indica que el gobierno buscaría que la información que tiene el colectivo sea revelada, mediante presión en redes sociales, provocando así un enfrentamiento entre Los Zetas y Anonymous y que como consecuencia se responsabilizara a los hackers de “un baño de sangre”, con lo que se le impediría “de facto” manifestarse pacíficamente.

Mexico Scraps Plans to Build 10 Nuclear Power Plants in Favor of Using Gas - Bloomberg: Mexico, one of three Latin American nations that uses nuclear power, is abandoning plans to build as many as 10 new reactors and will focus on natural gas-fired electricity plants after boosting discoveries of the fuel.
The country, which found evidence of trillions of cubic feet of gas in the past year, is “changing all its decisions, amid the very abundant existence of natural-gas deposits,” Energy Minister Jordy Herrera said in a Nov. 1 interview. Mexico will seek private investment of about $10 billion during five years to expand its natural gas pipeline network, he said.
Mexico, Latin America’s second-largest economy, is boosting estimated gas reserves after Petroleos Mexicanos discovered new deposits in deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico and shale gas in the border state of Coahuila. The country was considering nuclear power as part of plans to boost capacity by almost three-quarters to 86 gigawatts within 15 years, from about 50 gigawatts, and now prefers gas for cost reasons, he said.

'My headache's about to explode': U.S. girls just dropping dead
Gardasil, the controversial drug that took the early Republican presidential debates by storm, is back in the news as newly unearthed documents reveal 26 additional deaths associated with the shot designed to help prevent young women from getting a sexually transmitted disease that can lead to cervical cancer.
The public-interest group Judicial Watch has obtained the documents through the Freedom of Information Act from the Food and Drug Administration detailing reports of harmful reactions to the vaccination for human papillomavirus, also known as HPV.
"The adverse-reaction reports detail 26 new deaths reported between Sept. 1, 2010, and Sept. 15, 2011, as well as incidents of seizures, paralysis, blindness, pancreatitis, speech problems, short-term memory loss and Guillain-Barré Syndrome," Judicial Watch said.

According to the documents, adverse Gardasil events reported to the FDA include:
* The information was received from the patient's mother ... concerning her healthy 14-year-old daughter who in August 2007, January 2008, and June 2008, was vaccinated with a first, second and third dose of Gardasil ... It was reported that the patient experienced several symptoms including numbness and tingling in her fingers and toes, fatigue, a really hard time falling asleep, urinary tract infections, ovarian cyst, moody, trouble getting out of bed and seizures. The patient had had upwards of 150 seizures following her third shot in June 2008. During her seizures she stopped breathing for periods of 30 to 40 seconds. The patient was diagnosed with Neurocardiogenic syndrome and seizures. It was reported that the patient died due to ovarian cyst. The reporter felt that the patient's symptoms were related to vaccination with Gardasil.
* Additional information was received from a newspaper article concerning a 18-year-old female ...who on 10-MAY-2007 was vaccinated with Gardasil ... in the right arm ... The patient who was a college freshman traveled on 05-OCT-2007 to visit her family for the weekend. The patient reportedly felt "slightly ill" upon her arrival and subsequently took an aspirin and went to bed awakening at 1:30 PM the following afternoon "appearing refreshed." The patient became feverish again that night and woke at 1:00 a.m. the morning of 07-OCT-2007 with chills and a severe headache complaining that "my headache is about to explode." The patient was taken to a local hospital, where a brain computed axial tomography (CAT) scan was performed and the brain revealed meningococcal disease in her brain and brain stem. The patient was immediately transferred to another hospital and died the evening of 07-OCT-2007 due to complications of meningitis.
* Information has been received from a physician regarding a 15-year-old female who on 26-SEP-2007 was vaccinated with her second dose of Gardasil for prevention of HPV ... Thirty minutes after the vaccination, the patient experienced a headache and that night went home and slept until the next morning. The patient woke up the next day and went to school. The school nurse called the patient's mother and informed her that the patient felt tingling in both hands. Later that day, the patient was again sent to the nurse's office due to a shaking sensation all over. Later that evening, things became worse and the patient started crying from the pain and burning in her back. The patient was taken to the emergency room by her parents. In the emergency room, the patient collapsed and was not able to walk; she was paralyzed from the waist down. It was reported that the patient was hospitalized for two months.

23 farmers in Honduras were slaughtered in cold blood by hired mercenaries as they tried to protect their land from being seized by a corporation who wanted to use the land to produce biofuels as part of a United Nations-accredited EU carbon trading scheme.

“Protests erupted in July when six international human rights advocacy groups presented a report to the EP detailing what they called murders and forced evictions of peasants in El Bajo Aguán Valley of northern Honduras, ” reports the New American.
“The International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH) report accuses UN-sanctioned palm oil mills of stealing farmland from Honduran natives and killing or wounding them when they attempt to defend their property. It says the companies, acting with government impunity, regularly target members of local land-rights movements who end up murdered in feigned car accidents or hunted down and shot by private security guards.”
The United Nations’ CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) responded to news of the killings with a collective shrug of the shoulders.
“We are not investigators of crimes,” a board member told EurActiv. “We had to take judgements within our rules – however regretful that may be – and there was not much scope for us to refuse the project. All the consultation procedures precisely had been obeyed.”
The CDM board’s chairman, Martin Hession, also refused to take responsibility and argued that the EU didn’t have the resources to investigate the crimes.
However, members of the European Parliament have promised to visit the area later this month as part of an ongoing investigative mission.
“Examples of the violence are gruesome,” writes Rebecca Terrell. “Security guards ambushed 15-year-old Rodving Omar Villegas near his village and shot him to death with an AK-47. A car ran down and killed 60-year-old Juan Ramon Mejia. And José Leonel Guerra Álvarez was murdered inside his home in front of his wife and children by armed assailants firing from outside the house.”
The murders were facilitated by the “direct involvement of private security guards from some of the local companies who are complicit with police and military officials,” a report by an International Fact Finding Mission that was presented to the European Parliament’s Human Rights Sub-committee stated.
